Lethbridge Cyclones
About Us
Since inception in 2016, the Lethbridge Cyclones have been providing a fun, safe and competitive environment for girls to play hockey. Our membership is drawn from the Lethbridge and surrounding areas, bringing girls in southern Alberta together in sport and friendship.
Cyclones hockey provides hockey programs for 160+ females each year, ranging from our Future Olympians program to U18, in various levels of competition. In addition to our mainstream Cyclones program, we also serve as a development program for the Southern Express U13, U15 and U18 Elite teams, as well as the Lethbridge Eagles Junior Female team. Visit the “Our Teams” section of our website for information on each of our teams this season.
A division of Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association, the Cyclones have the support of the 1,200 athlete strong association in hosting events, securing facilities, promoting the game, and supporting our families.
In engaging our athletes, our families and our communities, the Cyclones have hosted several events over the years. Come-try-it events are an annual occurrence to allow potential participants an opportunity to experience hockey. Once a part of the Cyclones family, our families can expect events such as the annual Cyclones Classic tournament, a Cyclones Christmas Party, Alberta Female Hockey Day (2020), and Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships (2019, 2022, 2023).
Cyclones hockey would not be possible without the support of our numerous coaches, families, and volunteers, and these commitments have not gone unnoticed. Most recently the commitment to growth and success of female hockey in Lethbridge has culminated in the award of the Hockey Alberta Minor Hockey Association of the year in 2020.
We are always looking to grow our Cyclones family. We would love to have you join us!
